Aberdeen Master Homeowners Association Responsibilities

The Aberdeen Community in Highland Heights, Ohio is comprised of a number of distinct neighborhoods and the independently managed Stonewater Golf Course.

The Aberdeen Master Homeowners Association Board of Directors is comprised of one member from each neighborhood and one representative from Stonewater Golf Club.  The Board is responsible for the following:

  • Maintenance of the following community facilities:
    • The common landscaping areas within the community that are not the responsibility of the individual neighborhoods;
    • The recreational facilities within the Recreational Park, including the community center building, the swimming pool, the tennis courts, the exercise facility, the child play area and the grounds surrounding the complex;
    • The signage at the entrance at Miner Road and Bishop Road and the Community Center sign;
    • The walking trail along Aberdeen Blvd from Bishop Road to Miner Road including the benches along the trail;
  • The financial well being of the community providing for the annual day-to-day maintenance expenses as well as reserves for the future replacement of the current facilities;
  • Enforcing the rules and regulations of the Community as defined in the formal association documents;
  • Coordinating rental of the Community Center to residents of Aberdeen.

The Board has contracted with Western Reserve Property Management to provide for the management of these responsibilities.

It is important to note that each neighborhood within the Aberdeen Community has their own Homeowners Association responsible for the unique maintenance requirements of their neighborhoods ranging from landscaping, snow plowing, maintaining reserves and collection of fees.  Each neighborhood, their responsibilities and their management company contact is described in the “Our Neighborhoods” section of the website.    Stonewater Golf Club, and its relationship to the Community is described in the “Stonewater Golf Course” tab.
